Amphion (1790)

The Amphion was sketched by the famous ship designer Frederik Chapman as a quick yachtsman for the Swedish king Gustav III and was built on the shipyard Djugarden in Stockholm.

She was launched in 1778 and was in service till 1850. The ship was used not only for sea voyages. Gustav III led from the Amphion the victorious lake battle of Svenksund against Russian. The model the Amphion shows in such a way as she has looked in 1790.
